Thomas Michalczyk lives in Forchheim, Germany and studied design with major in Photography, CGI and Cast (Audio-Visual Communication) at the University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg. 2009 he first majored in electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim and moved to Bavaria to work as an engineer.

He always has been very curious and creative. Art, Design, and Photography were and still are very important to him. He wanted to become more serious about working in the field of Photography and Film, so he decided to study Design. He spent his 5th semester (practical semester) in a creative agency in London to learn and become more acquainted with the professional life as a retoucher and CG artist.

Photography is a very exciting way to combine technology and creativity for him. Together with CGI and 360° media, these tools can create whole new worlds. They let him express himself in a very unique way. In his bachelor thesis, he focused on the direction of content creation, aimed towards content marketing. He wanted to show photographers working in a more documentary way the chances of digitalization. Thomas finished his thesis with the title "More Than a Photographer" in spring 2018. Since then he showed his work in exhibitions in Erlangen and Nuremberg. He currently works at Siemens Mobility Academy as a digital training manager and content creator for the 360° eLearning area and is a photography lecture for the sixth semester at the University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg.
